Broadway Show Six

Recommended Posts

there is no guarantee that it will be on any ship in 2023; entertainment is always subject to change.

in the case of "six," NCL got very lucky... making a deal with the show's young creators when the show was in its infancy, before it moved to london's west end and broadway and became an international hit. what none of us know is the nature of that agreement... does NCL have an open-ended contract that allows them to continue to present the show in perpetuity, or did they sign a three or four year contract and - if so - can that contract be renewed?

It was a brilliant move by NCL.  It's a fabulous, high energy, entertaining show. And at under 90 minutes, with no intermission, a perfect length for an evening's entertainment on a ship.  My wife and I saw SIX on the Breakaway in October and loved it so much we went back the next night.  (Fortunately, that was easy to do because the ship was only at 38% capacity.)  We are totally hooked!

that's part of the appeal for NCL, to be sure. most broadway shows that appear onboard ship are "tab" or truncated versions... they cut stuff out - often crucial plot developments or songs - to get the show down to 90 minutes. sometimes, you're left confused, trying to figure out why this character did this or that. well, invariably, the answer is in the scene or the song that was cut!

"six" on the other hand, is performed exactly as it's presented in the west end and on broadway.
