sarleo Posted May 20, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2022 If I stay outside on the infinite veranda and close the doors to separate the main cabin, will the air conditioning kick in? I know that once you open the window the AC goes off for the cabin, but I had hoped that if the folding doors were closed right away, the AC would remain on. Also, if the AC doesn’t come on and the veranda is closed off, does the cabin get hot quickly. I am sailing transatlantic, not in the Caribbean. Thanks! paulh84 Posted May 20, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 20, 2022 I'll comment before the deluge of Infinite Veranda feedback. The A/C is independent from the folding doors. They are not air tight. The A/C shuts off any time the IV is open. Whether it makes the cabin hot or not will totally depend on the weather and sun outside. 3

Transatlantic could be cold or hot, northern or southern route. Either way there will be no temp control in the room with the window open. 1

Taking TA next month, the northern route, how was your room-hot, cold, okay?

It all depends on if you leave the window open or closed. AC works fine even with southern facing cabin if window closed. Window open, cabin will warm or cool depending on outside temps and become more humid
