Ack to back cruise

Recommended Posts

Can anyone share the procedures RCCL uses for guest doing a back to back cruise?

Do they offer shore excursions between a same day arrival and departure?

Do they allow one to leave the ship before it departs?

Any special activities?

Thank you

The process may vary a bit depending on ship/port, but usually yes. All of the details should be provided to you in cabin before the end of first sailing. Confirm with guest services you are on their B2B list.

I haven't tried to take an excursion on most of the times I was on a B2B and the one time I did sign up for an excursion it was cancelled because of not enough participation.  YMMV

As Biker yes, the exact  process may differ.  I have usually had some sort of identification indicating you were "In Transit" paper that would get you around some of the congestion.

Pre Covid often times, a special lunch in the MDR was held for the B2B people.

3 b2b's on three different ships.  Each one handled it a bit differently, but the gist is you meet up in the morning, they hand out new cards (twice before we got off, once after before we reboarded) and walk you by customs agents with passports in hand and then back onboard.  Usually right back onboard unless there's an inspection or something.  We then went to a b2b lunch.  Twice in a specialty restaurant (Oasis and HOTS) and once in the MDR (EN).  No excursions.

We've done two b2b's since restart and they still do lunch, not always in the MDR. Depends on the ship.
