Casino offers - No wonder we get confused

Last night we are going over the accounting for our upcoming casino cruise on the Rotterdam June 5th. Both my wife and I get free Neptune Suite guaranty's so we are bringing friends. We had to pay port fees and deposits. For my wifes cabin we had to pay $200 deposit per pax. Her email states that she will receive OBC of $200 per pax once onboard. For my cabin we had to pay $100 deposit per pax and that will be reimbursed by the casino cashier once onboard. I think it would be much easier for all of us if there was consistency.

Yeah, but don't you feel pretty lucky to receive such an offer? I wouldn't complain about anything but you do make a good point on the consistency.

The last thing I am doing is complaining. It does cause a little more bookkeeping as my buddy and his wife will stay in my wife's Neptune Suite and obviously my wife will stay in mine. That is unless she gets mad at me. We just need to make sure my friend will utilize the total $400 in OBC without my wife's charges getting in the way. I think I will have him charge $400 to the room for chips the first night at the Blackjack table. That will alleviate the need for bookkeeping.

It would also be nice if everything could be seen on the booking confirmation.

It does get quite confusing when you have multiple bookings.

My favourite is when it says digital copies are not accepted, but I am not sure what to do with an email offer other than make a digital copy. 🤪 ??

We print everything. It has saved our bacon a few times in the past. On our last cruise they had to contact corporate to verify our casino cash.

hmm.. I just got 3 card monty'd by HAL. I was on my phone checking email and saw a new Playcus offer for an OV+$500 free play + drinks in the casino. So I went to my PC to check it out and it's not in my inbox, and it's disappeared from my phone.  This happened at about 10:10 am Pacific time.

Could HAL have recalled the email?

I can find them, I just have to scroll through all the $200 OV fares on the HAL website when I log in. Still it would be easier with a list of the eligible cruises. Maybe it's coming. The last offer ends May 27 so maybe they are a little early with the email.

I recently booked my first cruise with the casino offer.  My PCC said I need to print out the email or flyer and bring it along to get my Free Play and Free Drinks.

I got the same. This is our first time. Are you able to book these online or do you have to call in?

Well, I got the same offer.  However, even though I am logged in at the HAL website, I can't find where I can see the OV fares.  I am really showing my stupidity as I don't even know what OV stands for?

Look on your offer for the promo code and just call in.

Have you tried checking your junk and trash folders?

Also check that your search includes ‘read’ emails not just unread.

Good luck in finding it.

I would call in.  I wanted a room upgrade so I had to get a quote on that anyway.  If you call, you can get all your questions answered.  I have a PCC (Personal Cruise consultant) with HAL that I have been using for years and I just email her.

I agree, lack of consistency can easily lead to confusion. Did you ask why different policies for the exact same cabin?

Didn’t you say you were a “numbers guy”?  This is confusing you 😉?  I don’t think that qualifies you to be a numbers guy.  Thanks for starting another casino thread though.  I thought we might have to go 24 hours without seeing one 😂.

Here are the only numbers I care about. FREE Neptune Suite for me. FREE Neptune Suite my wife. on this particular cruise that adds up to over $18,000 saved.

Sorry, It was my turn to be confusing.

What I should have typed was.. "Did you ask why different policies for the exact same cabin category?"

I will ask on the cruise Jun 5th.
