100% capacity is considered two people per cabin.

When 3rd and 4th beds in cabins are occupied and added to the total of first two berths occupied, that is considered over capacity even though within the number of total passengers the ship is designed for.

Ah that makes sense as there were quite a few families on board.

Princess has said that lifecraft capacity on all of its ships is more than needed for all possible passengers and crew.

Sky Princess looks lovely and it is nice to read a Live From review.

We have no future Princess cruises booked yet but as Elite loyalty we do get regular email offers.

It was a chief engineer who told me about the numbers for each muster station.

There are likely to be many, many  more as they have just sent an email offering 3rd and 4th berths from just £199.

Are you looking for an affordable, hassle free summer break with relaxed airport-free travel? Perhaps it’s time to escape on a memory-making adventure with the entire family. A Princess cruise sailing from Southampton is convenient and offers exceptional value. 3rd and 4th berths start from just £199pp on selected Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess or Emerald Princess MedallionClass holidays.*

Thanks Eglesbrech, this has been an interesting account.

Are you still on Sky Princess this week?

Half term holidays in England are now over.

Things should return to normal on Sky Princess.

We are on the September 3rd cruise when schools have gone back for the new academic year.

We will now be following the July 5th cruise to the Baltic .

These are 14 day cruises so attract a different type of demographic (hopefully)

In your opinion are the balcony cabins at the very back  of the ship a choice? or do you tire of looking at the wake? Thanks hope your enjoying your cruise.

We don't use our Balcony a lot on any ship but do like the aft/corner ones less wind at sea better views but some suffer from soot.

Distance to rear elevators is a factor.
