Why does she remind me of Ocean Village 2 ?

We have reads some good comments about this new cruise line and have been doing some research for possible cruises.

Have previously done P&O and Celebrity but our first cruise was on Ocean Village 2 and we loved our balcony near to the open bridge.

Ambience looks very similar to OV2 and we are thinking that we could 'live with that' and may give this new cruise line a go.

Is she a similar ship to OV2 does anyone know - have been trying to find out.

 

Anyway, will be watching these boards now with interest and look forward to 'chatting' with some of you

Indeed Presto2, Ocean Village 2, under an earlier name, was Crown Princess (which, as an aside, we had a great cruise on when she was part of  Princess Cruises in 2000) and she was indeed a sister ship to Regal Princess, now Ambience.

In fact not so much sisters as TWIN sisters as Crown Princess and Regal Princess were identical, certainly in respect of the structure, just with slight differences in decor.

So you are absolutely right!

Sadly Ocean Village 2 (which had later names and finally became Karnika) was scrapped while Regal Princess lives on as Ambience.

Thanks for that reply... knew she looker similar.. now we know why. The cabin we had was just amazing and made us fall in love with cruising but think it was beneath the then spa area on Ocean Village. Think similar is now below the bridge area.

Now we know what we are looking at we are even more interested. 

On a sadder note ... poor Ocean Village 2 😞

Loved ocean village 2 - that was our first cruise as well - great fun in the Caribbean.
