Marmaduke Posted June 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2022 Is fixed dining (early and late sitting) still available on Britannia or is it only Freedom/Anytime dining now?

Trevor Fountain Posted June 5, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2022 Is there any advantage to choose fixed dining over freedom. or vice versa?
Rare david63 Posted June 5, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 5, 2022 There are plenty of aruments for both cases - neither is right and neither is wrong. It all comes down to personal choice. I am sure you will find plenty of discussion on this subject in other topics
GOQ Posted June 5, 2022 #5 Share Posted June 5, 2022 On a Saver fare I assume I will just get what dining arrangement I am allocated by P&O. I prefer freedom dining, if I am allocated a fixed dining time, can I ask for it to be changed ?
loveheart Posted June 5, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 5, 2022 When do they allocate saver people their dining arrangements. We are a party of 5 all booked on saver fares but at different times. How do we all get to sit together. Is it just a case of going to see the Maitre D on the first night.

You can ask and it will depend on how full your preferred dining option is as to whether it can/will be changed. 10 minutes ago, loveheart said: How do we all get to sit together. If you are on Club (fixed) dining then you need to link the bookings, if you are on Freedon dining then you select your party size when you join the queue

We have linked our cruises and want to do second fixed sitting so hopefully we can arrange that without too much bother.
Fionboard Posted June 5, 2022 #10 Share Posted June 5, 2022 Second sitting has been much emptier recently so you should be OK

Fionboard Posted June 5, 2022 #12 Share Posted June 5, 2022 Same staff on each sitting so don't think so.

If the need to dine together is that important, why did you all book a Saver Fare and not Select?

To save money. I didn't realise at the time that we couldn't pick our preferred dining slot. We have always been able to do it with other cruise lines.
