I’m aware.  I was on one of the first ships to have the OM in 2018.  Sailing with techs that showed me some of the sensors and wires.

My explanation was to help the OP using it on b2b’s.

Wonder if they  have the door panel updated with the new passengers medallion no's to be able to work standalone from the local sensor in the panels

 

Whole ship could get locked out of cabins if there was a failure.

It would not surprise me if a serious google search could find info on the panels.

Every cabin is supposed to have a hotspot.

 

So, perhaps the panels are wireless ... in which case, there would be FCC Registration details.

 

Or, POE, so there would only be one cable required.

 

We need a correspondent here to investigate!

There are medallion detectors in the cabins so they know when you(your medallion) are in or out.
