dropframe Posted June 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2022 Who can explain the pros and cons of Flight Ease. From what I see there are three options. Restricted, Flexible and Flexible with early ticketing. Can someone explain these three options. For my flight choices the difference between Restricted and Flexible was less than $8 on a $500 flight.
Rare Mary229 Posted June 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2022 I use them all the time now except when I can fly Southwest. I have a multitude of refundable Southwest points. In the current environment when cruises are still being cancelled and passengers are still being tested it is an extra layer of protection. If your cruise is cancelled the flight is automatically cancelled and refunded in full. That is the major benefit. Flight ease has a reputation of providing exceptional international prices particularly for business class. As an example I recently flew back to DFW in Business class for less than what economy would have cost. I have also gotten some exceptional domestic deals but that is rare. I always check! Flexible air can be changed as much as you would like until final payment. Theoretically it can go up in price but I have never had that happen even in the current inflationary environment. Restricted is locked in, paid for and if changed does have a penalty. As I understand it once you request ticketing you have in essence gone from flexible to restricted
