Seabourn Club Benefit Massage... when can you book? any tips?

Recommended Posts

On our cruise in January you could not book on line and was told you had to wait until on board but I emailed the club a few days before leaving and they contacted the ship direct with our request for a booking on the second day , and that worked.

The benefit includes the 25 minute "Signature Massage". If both you and your traveling companion have this benefit but only one wants a massage, they will generally let you combine into one 50 minute massage for one person. You will need to arrange this on board.

We’ve been denied this on the last two cruises.  The best they will allow is the one person using the two massages non-consecutively.

Same for us.  Not usual to be allowed to combine 2 person's 25 minutes into a free 50-min massage.  Ultimately it is up to the discretion of the spa manager, but please don't count or insist on this.

Sounds as though they prefer receiving two tips rather than one.

That has nothing to do with it; tips is usually based on % of the value of service rendered, so tips for a 50-min massage is typically twice that of a 25-min massage, obviously.

Rather, they are hoping guests will upgrade their free 25-min massage by tagging on another 25 paid minutes (or increments of 25 minutes) to make it a longer massage.  Many guests do this.

Two free 25-min massages may turn into two 50-min massages (with half of each chargeable).  On the other hand, a combined 50-min massage (with 2 free 25-minutes) will result in no incremental spa revenue.
