Guarantee Cabins and Refundable Deposit?

Recommended Posts

I was doing a mock booking of a balcony guarantee, but it didn't give me an option to book a refundable deposit.  Do they limit the number of refundable deposits per cruise or does it have to do with it being a guarantee cabin?  I hadn't seen that before, so was curious.

I don't think GTY cabins tend to be refundable.  They are a promotional fare designed to increase bookings.  Many times GTY are not available to solo cruisers either.  Sometimes a GTY fare is never offered.  It's just the nature of GTY fares and why they exist.

The traditional gty cabins are not refundable.

TA's that have group space and still have space left in their group even when the category has no cabins left do have category specific guarantees that are refundable
