zeberdee Posted June 28, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Hi, hopefully a quick question! Has anyone purchased alcohol ashore in a port the day before disembarking? Next May we are due to visit Split in Croatia the day before we disembark, so will they still take the alcohol away , if so when do they return it as we leave the ship early next morning? Thank you for any info.
mets123 Posted June 28, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Since it's the last day they may let you keep it, otherwise you'll get it back that night.
Rare crewsweeper Posted June 28, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2022 I thought European ports didn't confiscate liquor. But do pick up a few bottles of Dingac wine and Biska brandy, even if they hold them.
Corby114 Posted June 28, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2022 In reference to alcohol they may or may not hold it until either the last night or last day if your voyage. On a seven day sailing from Venice years ago the Security Officers allowed me to take the alcohol I purchased back to my cabin but were more interested in the numerous bottles of olive oil that was purchased from a winery.
