We are in port til 11 Pm.    Would prefer to eat supper on the island.    We will be a family of 8 so would prefer something easy to get to.  Would love a redo recommendation that is kid friendly.

We like Craft Aruba...Lots of lights and fun stuff.  Waitstaff is good with kids.  It's up in Palm Beach near the Hilton Aruba Resort Casino.

I've heard good things about Kamini's Kitchen but it's down toward the southern tip and we've never been around that part of the island.

You can try this, I've been doing it for years. Dinner at Iguana Joe's right across the street from the port. Can't miss it, take your family upstairs and eat overlooking everything, best ticket in town. A crew and passenger favorite. The building is pink, great deck and views plus it's 2 minutes to the ship.

Iguana Joe's look it up you'll figure it out.

Great food, good service excellent vibe.

Best drinks on the island.

Iguana Joe's shut down when covid hit, and just reopened a few months ago.  They are operating on limted hours, and are not open for dinner. I suggest taking the bus or a taxi to Palm Beach.  Downtown is pretty dead at night, and Palm Beach is where the action is. There are tons of restaurants, shops, etc right along the main strip. You'll find lots of family friendly options for dinner,  including Smoky Joe's,  Iguana Joe's other restaurant,  Casa Tua, a great pizza restaurant with lots of good Italian dishes, Salt and Pepper,  which has good tapas. There are lots of restaurants that don't require reservations there, also ice cream and gelato. The bus only runs every half hour at night, and often is late. We usually take a cab back to our resort.  The easiest way to get one is to walk over to one of the numerous resorts there. They usually are lined up in front.

Yep Iguana Joe's did shut down during covid had friend's who tried to have dinner in there back in December, it was closed. It was my understanding they opened back up several months ago and they were getting back to normal. Hate it they had to shut down I'm sure they're not the only restaurant on the island that had to do that. That restaurant is a hub for cruise ship passengers and especially crew members. When it's closed especially for any extended period of time it's difficult on the local everything.

I've been having dinner here for well over a decade simply because when our ship is ported on Aruba we don't leave until late.

Had I taken a cruise last December like I could have got of the ship walked over to Iguana Joe's to find out it was closed I would have never forgiven myself.

Had friend's who had planned on doing this walked over from the ship The Enchanted Princess last December it closed what a disappointment.

Drinks upstairs at the bar, best mojito's every time. Awesome Bloody Mary's.

Iguana Joe's that big bar and dinner tab, I'm on vacation who cares.

Thanks for the info. 👍
