mvaldes140 Posted June 29, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2022 I have an Alaska cruise coming up (northbound) and the terms say that the prizes only work while the casino is open. Since it's mainly sailing through (I'm assuming) US waters/to US destinations, is the casino even open for parts of the cruise, or is it mostly closed meaning that it's basically worthless for the duration of the cruise. Thanks!
Belle Posted June 29, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2022 Casinos are open on sea days and are closed when in port but about 30 to 60 minutes after ship leaves port. Whenever the next day is a sea day the slots are open 24 hours. As far as I know this applies to all cruises except Hawaii. Casino closed while in Hawaii day and night. Opens when leave last Hawaii port. Hawaii doesn't allow gambling. Why so many Hawaiians go to Las Vegas for vacations.
boltnut55 Posted June 30, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2022 My experience this past 11 days was as Belle mentioned, so the only time it closed was at port... many opportunities to visit the casino and play bingo. Good luck!
