Anyone ever get a better upgrade than the one they bid for?

Just wondered if anyone has ever won a bid for an upgrade and found they had actually been assigned an even better cabin/suite than they bid on? 

 

Or had a free upgrade to another cabin outside of the bid programme, but whilst having an upgrade bid pending? 

 

We've had cabin allocations on our MSC bookings change quite a few times between booking and sailing/cancellation date, so could imagine either of the above two things happening...

There are few reports here of that.  One person here, don't recall name, got an upgrade to YC for free on Divinia.  Bids generally not much savings.

It depends on what you mean by better. 
 

We bid on a balcony from an inside and got an aft balcony which I do believe is better than just a balcony.
