Changing Cabins

Earlier today I checked our April 1, 2006, cruise on the Navigator of the Seas to see if there had been a price drop for our cabin. Although the price for our inside cabin has not dropped (paid $909), they are now offereing a guaranteed balcony cabin for $999 AND a guaranteed inside cabin for $599! I would much rather have either of these cabins!!! Is it possible to change your cabin after receiving your final docs? Or do we just need to wait to see if such cabins are available at the pier on the day of sailing?
