Just off the Glory

We cruised the Glory June 26th through July 3rd. It was a great cruise!!! It was worth the positive covid results on Monday!!! We are booked again in January.

Pros:

1. MDR great service and always had somthing we enjoyed.

2. Steakhouse was excellent the night we went.

3. Live music was great!!! All but one guy, did a great job of keeping a crowd.

4. Bar service was great!!! Many knew us by name and drink!!!

5. Room service was as I remembered before but now done on app/calling.

Cons: ( not bad enough to change our cruising plans)

1. Long lines for everything but bar services. We just used app to order what we wanted delivered.

2. People using hallways as lounges.

3. Carnival no longer enforces smoking rules. People smoked what ever they wanted where ever they wanted.

Again, we loved our cruise and were able to find quiet non smoking areas to enjoy. I would be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability!

We have the Glory booked for February, my first ship, and she has my heart!  Looking to actually possibly get married during the sailing!

However, more importantly, I am on the hunt for my lucky slot machine (joking...well, only half), which I hit my first ever (small) jackpot on!  I hope it's still there!  😂😂

Glad to hear others are still enjoying the Glory.  I did as well when I first strayed from my Spirit-class Sisters.

It is disappointing to hear good behavior and social graces continue on a downward spiral.  Perhaps when the economy strengthens moods will correspondingly improve by attrition.

Smoking anywhere would be a no go for me- it hard to believe that people would be allowed to smoke in the MDR, buffet, pool elvators, etc.

I'm not sure "where ever they wanted" was meant to be that literal...

But for reference, on my last Carnival cruise in June, it wasn't uncommon to get a whif of the ganja on the open decks, and wafting off the balconies.  Mildly annoying, but mostly outside.

I am a literal thinker. Thankfully on my recent cruise I didn't experience this. Even once when I had to walk through the smoking deck several people held off as I walked by. Walking through the casino was different.

The problem is theses electric cigarettes. I don't know much about them but saw them being smoked in lido, elevators, and most bars. The people smoking them were concealing them well, the bad oder was very bad.

Sorry, the odor was very bad!
