Brad548ye Posted July 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2022 Hi, just wanted to know if anyone had used local clinics in Athens city centre area to get an Antigen test. It looks like this is what I’m going to need to do. thanks
JHLH821 Posted July 13, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2022 depending on the date needed, and if you can schedule Monday-Saturday, this is a good option. We are using them in Rome. https://thetourguy.com/tours/venice/venice-covid-test

Many pharmacies in the central area do the tests.
ISLABONITA Posted July 14, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2022 I was staying in Athens at a hotel asking for $35 for the test, I found a local lab for $10 , just do a google search near your hotel for labs and pharmacies giving Covid tests. Also NCL didn't accept it because I had not registered online at check in for their Diagnostics lab test, have no idea what that cost would have been, so then we were tested at the terminal for free.
ak810 Posted July 14, 2022 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2022 I can confirm (being from Athens) that the vast majority of pharmacies perform walk-in rapid tests, with no appointment, with a cost ranging from 6 to 12 Euros
iancal Posted July 17, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2022 (edited) We did a google search when we were considering Greece a few months ago. Many came up on the map and most indicated price, languages spoken, and whether one could make a reservation. In Athens and in the suburbs toward Piraeus. We would have required a PCR test at the time. The Greek Government established a max. price of 60E, though many were at 40E. No idea if antigen test prices are also controlled.
