Ability to Separate Haven Beds -- NCL Joy?

I am looking for information on whether any of the beds in the haven category rooms on the Joy can be separated. I understand this not to be the case with the master bedroom in the 2 bedroom courtyard penthouses, but was wondering about the other Haven categories, both in and outside the courtyard.  Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The main bed in Haven rooms can not be split. It is the same bed, regardless of location or cabin class.

This is a peeve of mine.  I’d love to bid for an upgrade to a basic cabin in the Haven, but I’m traveling with a friend.  We really want our own beds.  We’ll stick with our balcony cabin.

In most cases, you and the friend can alternate between the actual bed and the sofa-bed. On some ships, the smallest Haven suites only have a bed and don't have a sofa-bed but more often than not, there is a sofa-bed in a Haven suite. It's not perfect but it can be done. I'd take 3 nights in a bed/4 nights on the sofa-bed while still being in the Haven over 7 nights in a bed with a standard balcony. 😁

Not a bad thought.  Need to think about it.  We’re on a ten night on the Joy on September 6.  Would love to be in the Haven.

KING beds on NCL can not be split due to the framing.

Queen beds are usually two twins joined.

Being in a suite or Haven you will no doubt be escorted to your stateroom.

Hopefully at that time your cabin steward will be in the area to discuss the

bedding/sleeping options.

On some ships suites are provided a cell phone - found with the promo -

dinner certificates and other introductory material AND a list of who to

call Concierge - Butler - Cabin Steward - Room Service etc.

Cabin steward not around - call and leave a message -

Usually while you are at dinner the CS will make the sleeping arrangements

that you have requested - BUT remember the KING bed can't be split ***

*** an alternative for this is a barrier of pillows or couch cushions to divide

the bed into two - not always the perfect answer.

See what magic the CS can do for you - - -

My husband and I cruise in the Haven and love the king bed. Currently have a queen at home - we're changing that. Just waiting for Ethan Allen to actually deliver the stupid frame (it's like a 5 - 6 month turnaround from order)!!

Anyway - we are used to sleeping closely where we are pretty much touching (we're also big dudes)...in the Haven it's like he's not even in the bed. Just throw some pillows/blankets down the middle and share the king size bed. Unless there's some massive thrashing about in the middle of the night, you two won't even know you're sharing a bed with someone else.

You want to go Haven - don't go balcony.

If you have The Haven, it's bliss!  We had a 2 room penthouse for 21 nights and absolutely loved it!  All rooms have the king bed but it's huge!  We have king at home and this seemed bigger- my husband kept saying he needed to make an appointment to cuddle it was so large.  They had the pull out couch in the other room and a solid door to the master.  We even had a second very small bathroom for a guest off the living room but it had everything you needed in it.  I think I saw a post on how to make a divider that hung from the ceiling on a cc post.  You might want to check that out.  If not, a pillow divider would work.  Have your steward take the comforter off and make both sides with separate top sheet and blankets instead so you each have your own.  They are so accommodating!  You won't regret it!
