Mardi Gras presidential excel or aft excel corner.

Looks like on our sailing a presidential suite has opened up. We are currently in an excel aft corner suite and are curious if it is worth the upgrade or not really.

Been in an aft Excel twice, I would take it

15th floor ones are the best

Agreed!

We've been in a deck 12 aft corner and a presidential suite. The real difference comes down to the balcony - if you want/need all that space, then the presidential would fit that bill (and you get an ourdoor "fireplace" and shower to boot). 🙂

We have an aft corner on deck 15 booked for next May on the Celebration, but I am keeping my eyes open for the presidential. We'd be perfectly happy in the aft corner, but for that sailing we're going to be exercising our 75th Milestone benefit, so a more expensive cabin means more OBC (75% of cruise fare)!

Hey,,,,

Year old post but the subject is on point for me.

Deck 15 aft Excel suite- any noise from deck 16.

If not deck 15, which one would you pick?

Presidential suite- does it include any amenities that aren't included with the aft Excel suite?

Thanks!

We've been in the Presidential, and a few weeks ago in an aft corner (deck 15). Prior to that once on Deck 9, and another time on deck 12. On deck 15 there's only a minor amount of noise from above, nothing to be concerned with. It did seem like we got more than our fair share of water on the balcony that persisted throughout most of the morning due to washing decks or glass above? I never really figured it out, but it happened on most days. Perhaps it rained overnight, every night!

When we sailed in the Presidential (second sailing of the Mardi Gras), the head of restaurant operations (I believe that's who it was) contacted us onboard and offered assistance with dining and room service. I don't think we really did anything special that sailing as we already had all of our specialty dining booked.

I was in an aft Excel suite on deck 15 a few weeks ago.  Noise was never a problem.  I could hear Bolt every now and then, but it was just a low, soft "zoom" sound.  It took me a while to even realize what it was and it didn't disturb us at all.  I did hear chairs scraping once or twice in the afternoon.  Never heard them in the morning like some people will warn you about, and like I said, it was only once or twice.  We spent a LOT of time on the balcony, so if there were any big noise problems, we would've heard them.  I would definitely book deck 15 again.

After reading your review I booked a 15th floor Exel Aft for the second leg of a B2B on the Celebration in May. It’s the 6 day day and I had a free balcony casino offer that brought it into my price range, got it for $3600. It will most likely be the only one for us but I am so excited. I’m not planning anything except hanging out on that balcony and ordering lots of room service!

I booked the presidential suite for next year ... I'm wondering if the concierge can reserve a spot for us at punchliners and other shows like they do on royal as a suite guest?

That WOULD be great!

I have a deck 15 aft corner suite booked on Celebration myself! I like my loungers in the shade!

We have been in a lot of rooms, this one is at the top of the list.

Let me know how that works out.

I loved the aft corner excel when we had it.  We had ours on the deck right under lido so it was fully shaded/covered.

The presidential balcony is much larger, but most of it isn't in the shade.

Shade and sun (on a balcony) - for me, sometimes, it's like the grass is always greener. If I want sun/warmth - there's shade. If I want shade/chill spot - there's full sun.  😄

What is the sun/shade situation on Deck 14  Excel Aft Suite (14525)? The room looks absolutely amazing!

15 has the most shade, 10-14 intermediate (all about the same), and 9 has more sun (more deck space overall), though on deck 9 if you're out there to get sun, everyone above you has clear view of you.
