Covid testing

I am new here and came on for some info on pre cruise testing. I have read many threads on this, but I am IT dumb and need some just plain advice explained to me simply. Please bear with me.

We have a RCCL cruise on the Voyager scheduled for Aug 28, 2022. As from what I read, we need to get tested 2 days in advance in order to board the ship. We are leaving from Copenhagen and from what I hear most of the regular testing sites have closed and we will probably have to do a test via the internet and here is where I need help.

I do NOT own a smart phone (I know, call me whatever), but my darling wife has a Samsung Tablet if we can use that?

So, what do we have to do to get tested? We have several of these home test kits that the government sent us, but from what I read, they aren't really what I need. Is that correct?

If that is so, what test kit do I need and how do I get them? When I get the kits, and need to do the test, if I can use my DW's tablet, how do we do it? Do we have to have ZOOM app? The hotel we are staying has Wi-Fi so do we just sign onto their WIFI and go to a particular site?

Then, how do we get the results. I read they are emailed to us, but if we are at the terminal, we will probably have no internet, so how do we get proof we were tested?

I know this may sound like something everyone should know, but we are just very confused by this and really need a kind person to just explain it all to me.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to CC.

You can add a proctoring service to your existing test. You can use a laptop for that or assuming not too old and has a camera, your wife's tablet.

Here is one of the proctored sites where you can use the free government tests you already have.

www.rapidtestandtrace.com

Scroll down to where you can schedule an appt.

Follow the instructions on their website.

Yes, you can use the hotel wifi for testing.   Ask the hotel if you can print them.

Another option, there is testing place at copenhagen Airport.  If your cruise leaves on a Sunday you can test Friday, Saturday or Sunday before boarding.

Any of the testing sites will walk you directly through it on their website or app. You don’t need to open up a separate window or Zoom or anything.  It’s pretty easy. You just need good Wi-Fi.
They will email you results. You can screen shot it or print it out and have a hard copy for check in.
