Air Cancellation - Bad News / Good News

Our return from Quebec in Sept is to Newark and then to Sacramento. Just received notice from United that the Quebec - Newark leg has been cancelled. No suggestion of alternative flights, so I had to go through the booking process again. The only flights available leave at 6:05 am, a real problem getting from ship to airport at that time and then 13-hour layover in Newark 😞

 

Good news is there is a 12:40 pm flight the next day and we have found a great little hotel for an extra night In Quebec. All is well that ends well 🙂

 

Just disappointed at the lack of suggestions from United and 40-minute wait for Chat or Phone to United.

40 mins is not bad, some airlines today are hours to wait, due to storms in the South yesterday and the usual staff shortages.  Have fun in Quebec!

Indeed, thanks. As it was the original flight gave us just 1H:40M connection at EWR, we were prepared to have to spend an extra night there. Better Quebec than Newark.
