trixiezzz Posted July 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2022 We currently have a 3-person room booked. Now our adult son wants to bring a friend and get their own separate room. But our price will go up and we will have to move to a less desirable location to move into a 2-person room. Is there any way to book that 3rd slot for someone else and have them just never show up? Rusty_lock Posted July 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2022 (edited) It'll be no problem.... Nothing happens except you get taxes and fees taxes and fees refunded. You forfeit their cruise fare. All prepurchased cruise planner items are refunded as well. We had that happen on Liberty with our Grand daughter in December Edited July 24, 2022 by Rusty_lock
poocher Posted July 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2022 Change the third passenger to someone else before your son tries to book another cabin. He can’t be on 2 different reservations.

Yes, but, depending on how full the ship is you could take a chance at simply cancelling the third person and take your chances of being moved. poocher Posted July 24, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 24, 2022 My TA was able to cancel my daughter on our October Explorer JS sailing without the reservation being repriced or us having to move cabins. Don’t know if the fact that all suites appear to be sold out for our date factored into it.

He can’t be on 2 different reservations. Sure he can. I've had the same guest on two different reservation until well into final payment period while their kid decided what friend they were bringing. That may be possible during the final payment period, but at embarkation, the same person can not be booked in two different rooms. The individual's passport will only be accepted for one stateroom.
