casofilia Posted July 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2022 According to the website the last Alaska cruise is 15-22 October (Seattle-Seattle) and the first Mexican cruise 25-30 October (Los Angeles-Los Angeles) https://www.ncl.com/nz/en/vacations?date=oct-2022,nov-2022&ship=norwegian-bliss
NW Pacific Posted July 25, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted July 25, 2022 guess taking no passengers for the 3 day to LA, strange. but thanks for looking it up also
kasimir Posted July 25, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2022 Was wondering the same thing as we would have loved to stay on the Bliss for the cruise to LA, but there is no way to book anything and it seems all passengers will be off the ship on October 22nd. The next cruise on the bliss we could find is from Vancouver to LA starting October 23rd. So the one day stretch from Seattle to Vancouver seems to be without pax. They either have to offer a one-day cruise from Seattle to Vancouver and not allow people to book B2B to continue on to LA or they sail empty to Vancouver and board passengers there for the Pacific Coastal down to LA IF they do a Pacific Coastal which it seems they're not this Fall. The PVSA prevents them from embarking passengers in Seattle that won't ultimately get off until LA even if they're separate bookings. It makes more sense to do the empty sailing. They have to do the opposite on the Spring trips (I did the Spring Pacific Coastal starting in LA and ending in Vancouver) - sail LA to Vancouver, disembark ALL passengers, sail empty to Seattle to then embark the first Alaska guests.
