Dining room question

We recently booked our first trip on the Queen for September and were told we have a dining time of 8:00 PM. Will we be assigned a specific table in the dining room, sitting with the same people each night, or will we be seated randomly as we enter the dining room. Either way will be fine with us, it's just that it's a long time since we had a dining assignment and wondering how they handle it.

We were on the Queen a couple weeks back. We were assigned a specific table for the entire cruise. It happened to be a two person but we met the people across from us and they had a six top so we asked and were switched to their table for the rest of the cruise.

It's been a couple of years but when we were on the tables were assigned.  You got your table assignment during the check in process.  Hopefully someone with more recent experience will chime in.

That was our experience also on the Queen several years ago. More recently, on the Countess in June, the experience was the same. We were assigned to a table for eight, and had lovely tablemates.
