Off on this trip… NCL’s Wi-Fi is terrible

compared to Royal and Carnival.  I am not even doing the upgrade to unlimited.  They do open the access to CC BUT I could not get that to work on my last NCL trip.

In theory you should be able to… in reality it did not happen for me on the Dawn.  It was just too slow and nothing loaded properly.

So I opted for the public transit route to my hotel in Athens.  Taxi was about 50E.  I took the M3 then change to M2.  It was super easy and one way ticket was 9E.  I came out of the metro and my hotel was right in front of me.. Moxy Athens. The entire journey took 60 minutes.

Moxy Athens… I picked this hotel because it’s close to public transport, close to central market and close to the Acropolis.  Plus I can hop on the public transport to the cruise port.

I was warned that July/August is peak season at Athens.

Central Market… I am very used to these type of markets but to the typical Grocery shoppers from the US… this is not the place for you … the meat handling/storage/display in the heat will make you wonder about food safety…

Just walking around … did not want to go to bed too early.. trying to reset the internal body clock… walked to the Natural Museum… very hot!

Absolutely beautiful photos. Hotel looks great, bakery looks great. Meat market, well, that is how they do it! Better than the one I saw in Casablanca though..

It is so hot in Greece and the photos don't show a lot of people outside..everyone in the AC I guess?!

They are all inside shopping lol… the USD is so strong so things appears to be less expensive.  I went shopping at Zara and OMG … it’s insane inside.  I picked up a sports jacket for 12.99E which came out to $13.15 USD or some where around that!  But yes GREECE is HOT!
