We already have a cruise booked for January, but are still taking a free cruise in December.  Free is free!  Nice to be retired.

😄 Very well done we are about the same.  MSC October, Celebrity November, Princess December.  Go get em!

Cheers

For those of you that were able to upgrade to Aqua cabins, did you do it when you initially called or after your original booking?

We did it after we received confirmation of our cruise. And moved to concierge class but then read about people moving to aqua class so I called back again and upgraded again .

I called to move our cabin and was offered an upgrade at $20/pp/day. She also offered to sell me the drinks, dining and/or Wi-Fi packages.

You will get a 15% BCC discount on the drinks package by ordering through them.   Possibly on the other stuff too.  I didn't order dining or wifi.

Were you able to get an all inclusive add on?  If so, at what price?

I called and was able to upgrade to Aqua class. Whoo hoo! Thanks to this board''s info I booked an awesome cruise. I still need to pinch myself. ha ha. The agent was very nice and asked what cabin I'd like but I was at my gradson's soccer game (I called while I was home) and told him to pick one he'd choose.  Anyone on the Solstice Oct 29 Mexican cruise? We will be in Puerto Vallarta on November 1. It is Dia de los Muertos.

Not an all included offer. An offer to purchase separate packages.

What's really interesting is that they didn't charge me the gratuities on last weeks cruise. I just checked again as the final bill arrived via email and no tips charged. Maybe the system gets confused because of the always inclusive on Aqua?

When I called and set things up they said I could pay gratuities then or pay at the end of the cruise.

Cheers

Did you get the other all included benefits of drinks and WiFi?

No. I doubt I would have but in any case I prebooked the Class Non Alc drinks and one week high speed wifi. Used the $300 OBC I get as MGM NOIR.

How do you join the MGM rewards program to get the onboard credit? I amElite.  Thanks!

You can get MGM status match with your Elite status.  But that alone won't get you onboard credits.  You have to drop serious cash in MGM casinos to get anything.

Right. It used to be easy to get Platinum but NOIR is invite only. Platinum should still get you $200 if eligible.

I really wish the new Caribbean offer included 2023 dates. We already have our cruise booked for 2022.

Same, we took advantage of the Mexico offer but got a 2nd offer for the FL cruises and we can't use it. If only it included January!

So if I have never gambled at a MGM casino then the offer doesn't apply? It doesn't matter but some extra OBC is always welcome!   Thank you!

If you never gambled at MGM then you won't have Platinum or NOIR status so the subject matter is moot. There was also a recent program revamp so now even the Vegas based perks are play based (dining credit, travel credit).

To be honest, ever since I got invited to NOIR many years ago I stopped playing much in Vegas as there was never much return and I found it to be more advantageous to "invest" my gambling bankroll on cruise ships. I get a lot more in return in the form of free cruises and perks compared to land based casinos. MGM is supposed to provide RCCL/Celebrity with a list of eligible NOIR and Platinum guests for the free cruises and stuff but this file is like swiss cheese and totally unreliable. Some agents insist they want to verify with MGM, others just push it through. Especially on very busy days.

Just like BCC this MGM perk is very ambivalent. Some said the $300 only applies when booking your MGM free cruises but that doesn't make any sense. It's usually a matter of calling back a few times.

If you can get to Hyatt Explorist (30 nights) you will have MGM Gold

We just received new Blue Chip offers for a free veranda cruise. All of the cruises are in the Caribbean, and some are Holiday Cruises, ranging from four to eight days. How can they afford to give away cruises?

They have lots of cabins available based on what I'm seeing price wise on the itineraries listed.  I actually ended up on this thread after having received the offer and only signing up through a Facebook form with them a few months ago
