Rare Woobstr112G Posted August 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2022 Looking to hear from someone who has recently sailed on the Royal and stayed in an aft suite. I was curious if there is still a soot issue for passengers in aft suites? We stayed in one during the inaugural T/A (2013) and there was a big smokestack soot issue… Bob

catgirl411 Posted August 28, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2022 Just off Royal Princess Northbound Alaska. Stayed in R731Torino Suite. Fabulous! We spent all day on the balcony on the Glacier Bay cruising day. Started with room service breakfast and relaxed all day. The balcony is huge. We only saw a very very small amount of soot on the chairs one day but otherwise not a problem. Highly recommend!
Grislap Posted August 28, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2022 We were in B734 at the end of May, northbound Alaska. Loved it! Huge balcony. Saw a tiny amount of soot one day. Wouldn't have even known what it was if I hadn't read about it. Not an issue at all.
