Alone in Ketchikan - safe?

I will be in Ketchikan one day/night prior to an upcoming cruise. How safe is it to just meander around on my own downtown? Go out to dinner? This will be the first time I've had to come in the day prior to a cruise, and will have had the time to get to know a port city! I am in my 50's by the way.

I was in Ketchikan on a port stop in early May as a solo traveller, and wandered around town by myself without issue as a woman in my 40s. (Admittedly, this was during the day, and I suspect that the town might roll up most of the sidewalks in the evenings due to being cruise-ship focused.)

Have also wandered Ketchikan solo several times as an older woman in her 50's. Not as a cruiser (unless you count the Alaska Ferry) but have felt very safe. If you're during cruise season it should be totally fine - typical safety precautions for being in any US town.
