From what I heard during this update the bandwidth will be extremally limited if they are going to want fast bandwidth then they will need to install SpaceX commercial dishes on the ship with providing it over WIFI.  This looks like more for coverage to areas that have no cell service today or during a natural disasters that knocks out cell service.  Great announcement but don't it solves cruise ship internet.

I suspect it will be really good in the middle of the pacific.  Once they get it where it is available to cars, it will be super available to slow moving ocean ships

We were on the Freedom of the Seas last month and they had Starlink dishes on board and when we signed on to our internet, it seems we were using Starlink. The speed wasn't the greatest but we were able to stream Netflix so not too bad!
