I know other people have asked before but I cannot remember the answers

we have a cruise with one person will most likely be a no show.

Do we tell Royal at the port that one person was unable to go or will their system automatically know about the no show after departure.

Does the other person who shows up automatically get the double points or do they need to go to guest services during the cruise?

Do the port taxes, fees, and gratuities get automatically refunded or do they became on board credit.

Do not cancel the 2nd guest. Say nothing. People have been known to have been refared, though on rcl havent heard of it at the port...but why take the chance? Say nothing. ..

 

When they do the manifest they will know the other guest didnt check in. Fees and taxes are automatically refunded.

 

Sometimes the 2nd pt is automatic sometimes not. Nothing you can do until it posts after you get home. Then call C & A.

Since the restart many no show scenarios have not resulted in double points.  Typical Royal its inconsistent.  Some of those have reported that when calling they were still denied double points.  Appealing did nothing.  Others have received double points for no show cabin mates.  YMMV.
