Private Taxi for the Day

Anyone have ideas on what the current expectation is to rent a taxi drive for the day to hit the East Side and Punta Sur?  It seem slike in previous years it was around $80 plus a big tip for 5 hours?

There is a section on tours to include private vans and also taxi rates.

That sounds about right depending on how long you intend to stay at Punta Sur and remember an entrance fee will be required. (Don’t forget discount coupon from above site.)

 

Official rates will be posted on the board at each pier. You might be able to negotiate a better rate  outside the port gates once you know the official rate. That’s fine if you know where you are going and don’t necessarily need an English speaking driver.

 

If you need more “direction” best to pre-reserve from a site like above or one of the private drivers listed regularly on this board. - expect their rates to be higher.
