I use my iPad for everything.navigator ,cruise excursion check in, food ordering,etc. Here’s my question. If I don’t go on an excursion with my husband,may I stand in line with him to get him checked in at the first area outside the main stage then go on my way. He can use his room card from there. Sounds feasible too me.

On our cruise in April, passengers that did not have an electronic ticket were allowed to use their room key.

We've done 7 cruises since the restart and ALL permitted the use of the room key to check in for HAL shore excursions.

Agree with the room key use, particularly after checking in in whatever location on board. At the bus, only a room key was required. But you could also put the app on his phone as well.

Thanks .he’s stubborn so he doesn’t have even a flip phone. It’s up to me. But he will have his key card and passport in Mexico.

On my recent Alaska cruise, all check in was done on the pier right at the bus or boat transport for the excursions. On my last  pre covid cruise, it was the same.  There was no more checking in on the ship.

Then let him worry about it and not you!!!   He can be stubborn all he likes.

Every port on our 18 day N. Statendam in July, check in was done on the ship, either in the World Stage, or in the BB King venue.

I am not complaining. We check d in at the main stage walkway in Feb.to Panama and it was fine. Besides it’s the least I can do. This is his retirement present and he’s paying. Counting the days. Ps. He also give me my casino funding.
