Transfers

Does anyone know how much NCL gets for transfers from the Southampton cruise port to heathrow  airport? Also- what time is the latest transfer? We are 4 people with a late afternoon flight and trying to figure out our best option 

 

also- can you get an Uber or Lyft at the cruise port to the airport and approximate cost.

For our 2023 cruise ending in Southampton, NCL was charging $75/pp for the transfer. We dropped the transfers as we're doing a 1 day deviation.

 

We've got a big group traveling (7-9 people) and I found a few private companies that can fit up to 6 of us for a flat fee of ~300 pounds to get us to our hotel.

$75. Last month on the Star the last shuttle times were 6:30 for early flights, 8 am for flights after 2.  There are also shore excursions, ending at the airport, 7:30 meeting time. Our arrival time was 5am, everyone off the ship by 9 am.

Plan on at least 90 minutes to the airport.

Google a local Southampton taxi company not Uber, you will get a good price, good service and someone that cares.

I just plugged in an Uber request and it is £135 ($156 USD) for an UberXL. Currently, it is a 61 mile trip taking a little over an hour. The thing with Uber and cruise ships (even in places like Miami), you have to have drivers willing to do long haul trips to keep the price down. If you linger to the end of disembarkation, and drivers are in short supply, the prices go up. 

 

The post-cruise shoreex in Southampton is usually geared towards evening flights, so you probably can't do that. 

 

The easiest thing is to book an NCL transfer and spend the day shopping in the Heathrow duty free.
