Hi everyone, so super excited for this cruise 😁 Tony and Denise here from Rhode Island. Yes, two ppl from the smallest state going on such an epic cruise.

Hoping we can tag team w a couple of other peeps and not get too lost lmao. So far we have arranged a tour for Tokyo and it’s for six ppl, so four spots remain. I would pay in advance and collect from you once onboard. This one is $100 USD per person and it spells out like this…

“Visiting today's most charming spots of Tokyo, feel the beat of this attractive city, guided by your experienced private guide. Through Tokyo's meticulously organized train/subway system we will cover not only the hot spots like Harajuku, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Asakusa or Akihabara but also any spot you would like to see.

We can tailor arrange our visiting spots according to your group's specific interest. If you have any other specific spot of interest than the listed spots, that will be added or substituted.
Note: Sumo training house visit is not a part of this tour.

As Tokyo is such a big city, it takes 2. 5 days to cover major tourism spots. Please select 4 to 5 spots for a day. We use public transportation and walk 2 to 3 ml(4 to 6 km) depending on the selected course.”

since we get to choose four spots, each couple would choose one they like to see ❤️ please notate that it takes public transport, so please be willing to do that and all that that may entail 😊 Also, it was specified that the public transport would be our individual cost, I think it’s quite minimal. They suggested $20 USD for subway and lunch costs.

EEEK, Can Not Wait.

I’m gonna look for a group tour for the underground cave systems in Puerto Princesa also, if anyone wants to tag along

Not sure if all the spots are full but am interested, we have 2 .. you can email me at Susanbuchanan @yahoo

Did everyone get the email about covid testing from Carnival? We are not sure how to read this. It impies that you can take your own at home test the day before, but how do you show them a negative readout? Do you bring the test itself to show them? Unless I am reading this wrong, that seems like the only way.

I also wondered that.. and if I have to get a booster as I already had 2 shots.. just not a recent booster

Wife and I just found this thread. Looking forward to the trip, we're also booked on the 7 day barrier cruise once we arrive in Brisbane. Not a swimmer but I hope to find a halibut trip when we get to Icy Strait.

My name is Joe and my wife is Sharon, we relocated to FL from NC after I retired 2 years ago and enjoy cruising and casino slots.   😀😀😀

Just got another email fro. Carnival yesterday. It now looks like we have to get our visas for Indonesia on our own. Originally they sent an email saying that they were doing it for everyone on the ship, and adding $35 charge to all accounts. We don't know what changed over the last month. Gonna wait a few days before doing ourselves to see if there is a clarification.

Yes, you do need to get the Indonesian visa yourself.  You need to show it at embarkation.  Recommend do it sooner rather than later and make sure you have a boat load of patience.😛

Will also need to show proof of negative Covid test.

Morning all, happy Sunday! We got the email about the Covid jab and test, that’s all sorted, but haven’t seen anything about Visa requirements. When did that one go out? Under four weeks until we are in Seattle, you beauty!

You'll need the Australian and Indonesian visa; both are done online.  The Philippines require an application done 4 days prior to entry.... Carnival will give us internet access to complete it on board.

You should have already gotten an email from Carnival about this, if not I can supply links to the visa sites.

Could you supply the link for the Indonesian visa.  Thank you.

It's a very tedious process.  Here are some tips:

1.  Have a good copy of your passport and a photo of yourself ready to upload.

2.  For the address use Cruise Port and 95111 (I think , I'll verify tomorrow and correct if I'm wrong) for the zip code and all other blanks will fill in.

3.  Call your Credit Card and make sure they won't block an Indonesian charge (~$35).  That was my biggest problem and it took 2 calls to iron it out.

I probably spent 4-6 hours over 3 days doing this.  The second day the site would error out loading the payment page.  Website errors seem pretty common.  Don't hesitate to walk away for a while if you get errors.  Also don't worry about starting all over, I did that at least 3 or 4 times.  It was very frustrating.  It took 3 different photos of my passport to get one that was accepted.  Be sure to verify the info it automatically populates from the passport is correct.  One photo it misspelled my last name with an H instead of an M.

I've read where one person had to start over 28 times!  Hopefully yours will go smoother than most.

Good luck and I'll try to help with any problems you might run into.

Thanks for the link.  I just tried to start but the site is down now.  Will try later or tomorrow.

I think I gave you the incorrect Zip Code, it should be 95511 but if that doesn't fill in the blanks try the 95111 I posted earlier (one of them is correct 😄).

Some people are posting on the Facebook pages that John Heald is looking into somehow streamlining this process.  I think I would still attempt to get the Visa yourself; I can see the nightmare if Carnival tried to process these unless they somehow strike a deal with Indonesia.
