redroses Posted September 7, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2022 I noticed on the cruise personalizer under where you can request robes, there's an option to request menu and other items be in foreign languages. Has anyone done this and do they follow through with printing those items in the foreign language? I can't seem to get back to that part of the cruise personalizer. capriccio Posted September 7, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2022 Pre-Covid we have seen menus in Spanish on a South American cruise (which makes practical sense) and on another cruise the passengers at another table with our waiters were given a menu in Chinese or Japanese and our waiter explained it in that language. Since we were in traditional dining perhaps Princess was notified in advance and placed them in our waiter’s section? That might be giving themtoo much credit but we were impressed. wangfam Posted September 7, 2022 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2022 In 2018, Singapore to Tokyo, we were seated at a table where everyone got menus in Chinese, and everyone at the table save for us spoke Mandarin. The waiter, however, was from India and had a difficult time understanding any of us. He was a nice kid on his first contract and we all thought that was a tough task to require of him for his first assignment.
