Alaska post cruise ideas

We are planning our first Alaskan cruise on the Majestic next July 8. When the cruise ends in Anchorage on the 15th we will have five nights free until we fly out on the 20th. 
 

We are trying to decide the best way to use those days and see things we would not have seen on the cruise. We really like the idea of taking the Goldstar train to different places. Does anyone have experience with this or other ideas? We would love to see the beautiful views of Course, bears and other wildlife and are open to some moderate outdoor experiences. We are in our early 60s and healthy but can’t hike more than two or 3 miles at a time.

 

This is a big deal trip for us so we’re willing to splurge on the budget.  We would love your ideas!
