Patriotbier Posted September 17, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2022 Is there more noise in this room because of the connecting door than in a standard balcony stateroom? Is it a double door?

Rare twangster Posted September 17, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2022 I have been in regular balcony cabins with children who made a ruckus every night and I heard them easily through the wall without a connecting door. I was in a connecting balcony cabin on Odyssey and never heard my neighbor but I did hear his buddies out in the hallway banging on his door when he apparently overslept. They were contractors replacing the Flowrider surface at the time. The connecting door for my Odyssey cabin was next to the main cabin door so any noise from the cabin next door isn't very much different from hallway sounds. SHIP TRAVELER Posted February 27, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2023 I am digging up this thread for a question about the connecting doors. Some videos appear to show the doors connecting in an alcove off the hall. This may only be the case with some of the connecting doors and not others. To anyone that has been in this type of cabin on the Odyssey, was your connecting door inside your cabin on shared wall like in a hotel or was it via an alcove with outer doors that made a vestibule for the two cabins? Thanks for your reply.
cruizzing Posted February 27, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2023 We had connecting balconies on Odyssey and the connecting door was inside the cabin like a hotel room.

Thanks for your reply. You are most likely seeing videos from Anthem, Quantum or Ovation that had these family connecting rooms that are not on Odyssey. Connecting doors for Odyssey are in the room
