Boarding in Port Canaveral

We are cruising for our first time since Covid - so excited!  And it has been a long time since cruising from Port Canaveral.  Can anyone tell me there experience  sailing from Pt. Canaveral - is is slow? organized? etc?  We leave in November!

What Ship? Mardi Gras has it's own terminal and parking.

We sailed on Freedom in July and boarding was slightly delayed but not a big deal. Getting off the ship was a disorganized nightmare. Hopefully it has improved!

 

We've sailed out of Port Canaveral on both Ecstasy and Dream years ago and had no issues.

If you are spending the night before embarkation, check out Rikki Tikki Tavern at the end of the Cocoa Beach Pier.  Yummy food, great drinks and you can watch the surfers ride into shore.
