Rare We_like_to_cruise Posted September 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2022 We just spent a month on IP and there are only a few US outlets available. (This may also be true of Coral Princess) ? The most accessible are the two on the wall adjacent to the desk. But, they are very close together! If you use any kind of "brick" power supply it will be a tight squeeze and you definitely cannot get access to the second outlet. We used a small Ikea Koppla extension cord - not surge protected - and could easily plug in phones, tablets, etc. There is also an available outlet behind the television if you can perform some gymnastics to get back there. We were B2B in two different cabins, but managed to access the outlet each time. We used another of the above extension cords to tap off of that.
beg3yrs Posted September 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2022 Our favorite is an octopus-style power strip. Ours has six plugs and no surge protector. The one pictured below has five. With this style no wall-wart power supply will ever block an adjacent plug.

Once, it was taken by security. First time down to naughty room. I "tried" to argue that they are not surge protected. Deaf ears. I now carry "documentation" that says they are not surge protectors.
Rare Hlitner Posted September 18, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2022 Our choice (which we learned about here) is a power strip (no surge protector so OK on ships) from NTON. Amazon.com: Travel Power Strip, NTONPOWER 3 Outlets 3 USB Portable Desktop Charging Station Short Extension Cord 15 inches for Office, Home, Hotels, Cruise Ship, Nightstand, White : Electronics It is very heavy duty and not only handles normal plugs but also has 3 USB charging ports. They make larger versions with more of everything, but the small one works for us. Hank
AllAboardatSea Posted September 19, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2022 I bought a travel adapter with an extra USB port on the side, which works well for the terrible setup IP has. Agree that the two outlets are basically useless for most regular adapters these days (like my iPhone one shown).
