Port Everglades car rental

  My friend and I are arriving at Port Everglades from Barcelona on Nov. 13, 2022.  We need to rent a car to drive back home to Jacksonville, Fl.  What is the best way to go about this.  We are both in our eighties, so walking a long way is not an option.

The is no free shuttle service from Port Everglades to FLL. The service was discontinued approximately four years ago. Grab a cab for the short fifteen minute ride over to the Hollywood/ Fort Lauderdale International Airport Rental Car Center.

There are several rental car locations that will pick up at the port and drive you to their local facility, not at the airport.

Do we know if this is the situation post Covid? Yes, it was the situation prior to Covid.

I have not rented since COVID so no personal experience, but according to my App for AVIS, Budget and Payless they still offer port shuttles to/from 2520 Miami Road.
