Brandis Posted September 20, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2022 A friend of ours who is joining us on Wonder of the Seas TA is a semi-professional icehockey player. I was wondering if he could bring his own shoes to skate during the open sessions in Studio B? Or do you have to use the skating shoes they provide? You can use your own skates but it is very questionable if the effort is worth the weight/luggage penalty.

I was thinking the same thing. All of that effort for a few minutes on a small sheet of ice.

queenfrostine22 Posted September 20, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2022 They took away our scissors at the pier, but will let bladed skates on board? hmm, that just seems wrong!
bilyclub Posted September 20, 2022 #6 Share Posted September 20, 2022 One male solo skater in the Harmony ice show wears hockey skates. First time I've seen cast members wear them. Thought it was pretty cool.
Homosassa Posted September 20, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 20, 2022 Not only is it not worth it to bring his own skates, it is not worth his time to try and skate on the ice sheet.
shellunderwater Posted September 20, 2022 #8 Share Posted September 20, 2022 If they don't have hockey style skates, he may want his own. I don't know if the skates are hockey or figure style.
