Help posting a photo

I would like to add a picture from my latest cruise and add it to a post. Can someone give me step by step instructions for doing this? thanks!

Click on "Manage Attachments" at the bottom of the screen. Click browse to find your pic in your own computer, then upload once you find the picture.

 

One thing I noticed when doing it, if it is too big, you will have to resize it.

I cannot put my pictures from home on here because they are too large. If your picture is on-line on a site such as http://www.webshots.com, you can just go to the large version on the picture, right click on the picture, go to properties, copy the http address, go to the little picture of the mountain at the top of the message box, backspace the http out of it, paste, and then OK.

It depends what kind of photo programs you have in your computer. Usually there is an option to resize listed somewhere. You just have to open the picture in that program, resize, then upload it.

 

In my computer, there is Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photo Elements, Paint Shop Pro, HP Image Zone, etc. Any photo program will resize it.

You can also use a photo hosting site, like Photobucket.Com, then link to the photo, like in the photo below of one of the Voyager ships in drydock ...

I cannot seem to get the file size below 160KB and at this the picture is too small to be visible. I use HP Image zone. Does anyone have any other suggestions to resize the photo.

1. Go to http://www.tinypic.com

2. upload your picture there

3. Copy the URL of your picture from the Tinypic site

4. Post you message and click on

5. Paste the copied link from the Tinypic site

 

 

BTW this won´t work with pics from webshots.

I found a great tool for resizing photos and it is free. I downloaded Photo Gadget from http://www.xemico.com/photogadget/ and use it to resize the photos once they are in My Pictures. It is fairly easy to use.
