WKUTopperFan Posted September 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2022 I am taking my first X cruise this Thanksgiving and coming up on the 45 days out that I understand I can check in. Is there an advantage to checking in that early? I know on Carnival since the restart checking in early as a suite/Platinum guess the two days early allowed for an early boarding time so there was an advantage. Is there some advantage for me to check in at the 45 day mark on X?
bama4cruisin Posted September 30, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2022 Part of the check-in is the opportunity to select your 30-minute boarding check-in time. You referenced being in a suite; if you are in a suite on Celebrity, you can board at any time once boarding has started.
Arizona Wildcat Posted September 30, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2022 On our last cruise for suite guests - none. Regular folk - none. For me - good to check off getting a job done.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted September 30, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2022 I really think the only advantage of checking in early is to get the desired check-in time you wish. Sites and Zenith can board anytime but others are assigned specific check-in times. It is also part of the anticipation knowing the cruise is coming close. You do not need to do advance Check-In just like airlines. It must makes things easier.
