That is really a great idea & will recommend to my daughter. If I may give some old lady advice to young women, always listen to your gut, if something feels weird, do what you need to get out of the situation, don’t be embarrassed to not get in an elevator or jump off when you see people, don’t be afraid to ask ship personnel for an escort to your room. Have a great cruise, you are in my favorite ship!

I appreciate any advice, esp from those wiser than me! I had thought to ask for a security member to escort me at the time but I took the elevator up to a random deck and then took it down to my room.

I also ended up accidentally seeing him on the last night during our Mama Mia showing. When I was looking for a seat, I went into a row and one person didn't angle their knees for me, and I said "oh excuse me" and looked down and it was him and he was like "hello ladies" and I was like omg!!! I quickly kept moving to the empty seats, which had a enormous seat saver situation going on.

I of course confronted the lady about it, having had a couple drinks and said " you can't be saving 10 seats" and she's like "well they are on their way" and "I'm like "you can find seats when they arrive" and then she responded "but the ship is moving!" And I was so confused by that statement PLUS I didn't want to sit anywhere near the "room number man" so I let her do her massive seat saving and sat in the row behind her.

Just in case people want to know, only 3 members of her party showed up and then she was forced eventually to part with the other seats and she fumed the whole time

Per the C&A Top Tier event, there were 5433 guests total this sailing.

Because I got my Royal up accepted, I think that's the reason why I never got any of the crown and anchor stuff in my room 😞

Was on this sailing as well.

We ate in the windjammer on 5 nights out of the 8. I'm not picky at all and always found something to eat but my wife while not picky doesn't have a pallette like mine and on about 3 of those nights couldn't find much to her liking.

They also took out 2 production shows since we were last on.

Since you have to wait until you board to book shows I have a suggestion. If you want to see an adult comedy show in the comedy place book those first. I didn't and they were booked solid for the week very fast according to the app.

I agree, book the comedy place in the comedy club first! I was very lucky to get reservations and most people did show up and barely any standby people got in. It's a very small venue

Just curious.....how dressy was this trip?  I am on her this Saturday and have yet to pack.  Figured I would leave the dinner jacket at home this trip as I have been hearing RCI is on par with Carnival these days.  And believe me my last cruise with them on the Radiance a month ago was a free for all!

It was a lavender daiquiri at schooner, probably my fav Royal Caribbean drink. Unfortunately they couldn't make it at casino bar so I just indulged the once

Thanks, Aubrey! I have added this to my list, along with the watermelon margarita, to my list of must-try for the first time! I already had an avocado margarita from Sabor on my list once I found out you didn't have to eat there to get one. 😁🍸🍉🥑

Thanks again, for all the other information and suggestions! I've enjoyed reading your review!

Full spectrum of dressiness. We had the UDP and ate in the specialty restaurants the whole week, so I can’t speak to the MDR. People showed up in tuxes and others showed up in shorts and tees. No one was turned away wearing shorts.  So, I’d describe it as a free for all on Allure, too.

Thanks so much! I am taking 1 suit and 2 sport coats instead of hauling the dinner jacket.  Taking Spirit Airlines to Fort Lauderdale unfortunately so I have to watch every ounce. 😁

In my humble opinion, this right here is exactly why I think the dress codes (other than maybe no bathing suits…) need to be done away with.  For folks who fly in, it adds coat to have to pack that much extra. Times have changed. What someone else wears to dinner doesn’t have that much of an impact on my enjoyment of the experience. If someone wants to dress up, they should. If someone doesn’t, they shouldn’t feel like they can’t experience the offerings because they can’t.  I can go on and on about this, but I won’t.

Have a great trip! 😊

Rarely saw super dressed up men. IMHO, I wouldn't bring a suit unless it was really important to you. You are fine with wearing jeans every night if that is what you want.  What my husband does is bring a pair of dress pants and a couple of nicer shirts and he alternates the shirts and only wears the dress pants to dinner, then back to normal clothes...so those "smart casual" outfits are only worn for a few hours each day, do not get really smelly or smoked out, etc...and it's so much lighter in the checked bag.

That is what I'm going to be wearing to Specialty Restaurants this week.  Blue Jeans and a button up shirt.  I might wear khaki pants to 150.

Honestly don't understand people who get fussed about people not dressing up. I mean, don't show up in a bathing suit for obvious reasons, but normally I barely look up from my plate haha 😛

It's probably not the only thing that easily upsets them.  Bless their hearts.  😆 Most I see on CC that complain our those that started cruising 20 to 30 years ago.  It was like that back then.  They have a hard time excepting change.

When you were cruising I looked your cruse up on the app.  It made it look like Chops was available on the 1st day for lunch yet it is not showing for this cruise.   Do you remember if it was available for all on the 1st day?

It was available for everyone...I remember someone asking me if i wanted to buy Chops for lunch on the Promenade. This could be dependent on number of guests who have the key

I’d say 30+ years ago. Only because I started cruising just over 20 years ago and I’m all for getting rid of it! 😂
