  1. Odds...a funny thing. Usually work but that ONE or TWO times it doesn't is a real bummer. Been there... For a FLL departure I would stick to tried and true advice of no sooner than noon. I HAVE missed an 11:15 flight due too rough seas. You CAN NOT control the weather... Don't take the risk - travel insurance won't cover it...
  2. I called RCI today and one of the "other" questions I asked was specifically about the C&A points. Their reply was: If you originally booked a room and then you 'royal up', the points you earn are based only on the original room class. With the scenario I presented, Our balcony room (on this 6 night cruise) would only get us 12 C&A points regardless of what room we might royal up to. -Solved- (But as always and because it IS Royal IT and Web and marketing... your milage may vary...)
  3. You can usually order as many dishes from any menu that they are serving from on any given night. One night our youngest was not thrilled with the app or desert but LOVED the choices for the main course. Our table Stewart (as do all table Stewarts) have the canned response of "Why not???"
  4. Curious on how the RCI folks sort and prioritize the offers. Do C&A members get more 'consideration' based on their status. Is it purely RCI starts with the highest dollar bid and works their way down thru the availability? Full disclosure we have a Central Park room (With the extra large 'hidden' balcony. ) The offer to move to a Junior suite has the lowers possible bid of $370 per person. A friend of ours on same cruise has an ocean view balcony room and their 'royal up' price for a junior suite was at $290. Just trying to understand their process... Thanks in advance.
  5. we have taken this item on the last 3 cruises and worked fabulously. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VRW5J67/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  6. So, if we do NOT have a car but are within easy walking distance of either Walgreens or CVS, do they allow for walkups
  7. We take something like the link below. Plenty of outlets and our cabin steward agreed that it was not an extension cord. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IUTIUEA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Or this one without a cord... https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VRW5J67/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  8. If you put in a bid on a Royal UP and it is accepted, do you get the associated point gain for Crown and Anchor? (Say from an OV to a suite?)
  9. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/if-need-an-rt-pcr-test-before-i-cruise-where-should-i-go Where and When to Get Your Test COVID-19 testing is very common nowadays. Most local pharmacy chains offer it, and most county or state websites can help you find a local public testing site. You can also go to a doctor’s office, diagnostic lab, or telehealth provider to get your test. For sailings that require a pre-cruise test, you will be asked to take the test no more than 3 days or 2 days before your sail date. How to calculate the days: The day you set sail is not included as one of the days. For example, if you are setting sail on a Saturday, and you need to take the test no more than 3 days before, you can take your test on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. If you are setting sail on a Saturday, and you need to take the test no more than 2 days before, you can take your test on Thursday or Friday.+
  10. KEEP checking. Mine started out at 3 - 3:30. every few days they added an earlier option. (I have NO idea the algorithm behind that logic...) Anyway, 3 changes later, we are now boarding at noon. I will also continue to re-check for a better time slot...
  11. Did a quick search but found nothing specific. Question: What is the current sttus for Allure OTS for the Wind Jammer? Is it open? is so what hours? If not, will it opne whne the passengar percentage get higher? (What is the factual trigger %) Any other restaurants NOT open due to low passenger count? Looking for current status and likelihoods for early November...
  12. I am from Sun Prairie! Les is a great guy!
  13. What is the current sailing passenger capacity of the Allure OTS? Is it Full capacity or is it going to be a graduated increase? (60%, 75%, 90%...) If so, does anyone know that the steps are and when?
