Manhattan luggage drop then tour intrepid

Per their FAQs apparently you can bring luggage onto the Intrepid, but you have to be able to carry it with you, so something small like a backpack would be the maximum size I'd suggest :

 

"The Museum does not offer bag and coat check facilities. All belongings, including bags, strollers and luggage must remain with visitors at all times."

Absolutely. I live a mile from the pier. I drive over in the morning to drop my checked luggage, and then walk over later in the day with my carry-on.
