Only once on that trip, no explanation why it took longer. There was no laundry bag in the room so we had to ask for one and then our room steward told us if we put it out before 9am it would be 24 hrs, after that 48. 
 

Back in Feb on a 14 day trip on Oosterdam I did laundry twice, and both came back next day.

My stepfather and I were on NS last August. We put laundry out before 9 am and we got it back the next day. They did an excellent job. I put the laundry bags on the handle outside the door, so our room steward would see it before he made up our rooms.

Does the $30 bag deal include ironing/pressing as well as wash or just fold?

If the items in the bag are sent to be washed, then appropriate items are also pressed. 
If the bag is sent for pressing only, there is a different charge than if they were sent to be washed.
