Captain said there is “congestion in the port”. The Disney Magic next to us at pier 90 is supposed to leave first (still there). We’re now 20 mins past his estimated departure time.

The most important improvement on the Prima is the arrival of mini Freestyle machines for Freestyle Cruising!  No clunky RFID cups like the other guys. Just swipe you key card and fill any glass you want!

Lol…more fun in the Galaxy Pavilion.  Glad my kids don’t cruise with us any longer…more $$ in my pocket.  Prima does seem a little like a onboard cash grab…but we always have the choice to partake, or not.  Thanks for posting.  I’m following.  We do Bermuda on Prima on 4/30.

Picture perfect fall day in the NY area today.Wonderful pictures. Thank you for getting some good ones from the spa. Am I mistaken or did I misread, I thought covid testing wasn't required anymore? Possibly because of the Bermuda destination.  Enjoy the ship and Bermuda (and not going to Norfolk).

Bermuda still requires COVID testing as of now. They've announced no testing will be required effective October 25.

Do you know the status of Coke Zero?  Don't see it on the mini freestyle machine.  Is it available by the can and is it covered by the basic premium drink package?  Thanks.

Can get it by the glass and is part of the basic drink package.

By the glass?  Never saw it on a gun so I assume they pour it from a can?  Glad it's covered.

No idea...I just know one of my friends ordered it in every restaurant we went to and it came in a glass.

In the studios it worked without card at my cruises. But didn‘t taste very well, not sure if it is because of the water ?

The Wi-Fi was a bit slow last night, so The Bird’s friend did not have a chance to say Good Night.

Not exactly sure what the bridge crew saw or if there was some navigation glitch, but during dinner last night, the ship executed an emergency stop and wide turn at our waypoint. everything in the dining room was rattling and shaking.

I am on this sailing of the Prima. These are some thoughts from my experience so far by Day 2:

 

1) If you are a smoker, be prepared to be confined. Despite a large outdoors area and wider spaces, you will find that smoking is close to impossible. You have a small space outdoors on deck 18...only accessible by steps from deck 17. You can smoke cigars but not cigarettes in the cigar lounge on Deck 7 mid. But the casino on deck 6 has the sectioned off area for smoking. That would not be an issue except to stay you must play. So someone who is disabled or just cannot walk stairs is discriminated against. Someone who has a gambling issue is trapped. 

2) The signs along the ships are awful. Why can there not be a post to show what direction to go for your rooms? Oops wrong side, turn around. Port or starboard, I have 0 clue. Don't realize the deck stops abruptly, get turned around.

3) It feels like everything is a cash grab. The way the store is designed (btw did anyone find the main store yet?) is broken up unlike other ships. What do I mean? Well the watches and other high end stuff is....drumroll....next to the exit of the casino and not near the main store. 

4) 3 hours into boarding...not departing...boarding...all comedian shows were 'sold out'. I get the comedian venue is smaller, but for all the shows to be immediately booked leaves many people out.
