Monarch25 Posted October 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2022 My wife and I will be cruising with Avalon in June of 2023. We do enjoy a nightcap (either red wine or bourbon). Are we allowed to bring it from the outside onboard? Is there an uncorking fee? We would just partake in our room before going to sleep. I know we can always purchase something from the bar but we are just looking for something for a nightcap without having to go to the bar area. Rare Got2Cruise Posted October 13, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2022 No problem whatsoever. Bring your own corkscrew.
AnhaltER1960 Posted October 14, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2022 You can bring as much alcohol onboard as you can carry. You are fine drinking it in your cabin. There will be restrictions consuming alcohol not bought on board in public areas.
ljandgb Posted October 14, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2022 My husband made friends with the bartender and kept a couple of bottles of some wine bought during an onboard wine tasting at the bar so he could share with friends later. Definitely no issue with doing whatever you want in your stateroom, and I honestly can't see them policing you if you pour it then leave the room with glass in hand. How would they even know what it was or who gave it to you without more effort than it would be worth?
